Glossary of data fields in GEOresources database of Fuels and Resources

We have built the framework for storing and managing data in two formats:

  1. A structured format (see Add New Plant or View and Edit page) that will be used to interface with analysis, modeling and simulations.
  2. Format-free entry of information through the Discussion Forum page attached to each Fuel/Resource entry and linked through the View and Edit page.

Organization of this Glossary File for Structured/Formatted Data

This page defines the structured datafields used to characterize the 8 types of Fuel/Resources. It specifies

We first list all the fields that are common to many or all types of Fuel/Resources and then those specific to a given type of Fuel/Resource.

Potential Resource Line: Use the Polyline feature in Google Maps to mark the geographical feature (example ridge) along which turbines can be sited. Make sure to click Update Placemark and Polyline before saving your contributions using Submit Update. If you dont wish to use this feature turn it off using the button Polyline Draw/Clear.
